The Boston Lab is located just a few minutes from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which houses the Word Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The W3C are responsible for upholding standards for the Web and help design and shape the future of the Internet. We have a Visiting Scholar stationed at the W3C to interact with their team and relay any new developments in the Web.

We held a lecture on Smart Homes, with stakeholders invited from a number of engineering universities to discuss the future of smart homes in Japan and India. The situation was also reported in "The Times of India" one of the leading print newspapers in India.
